This artsy Fort Worth luxury hotel was named best in Texas. What makes it a destination?
The best hotel in Texas is in Fort Worth, according to a new ranking.
Condé Nast Traveler announced its reader’s choice awards this week, with Fort Worth’s Crescent Hotel taking the top spot for best hotel in Texas. The annual awards rank everything from hotels and spas, to cities and airports.
The Crescent Hotel scored a 98.66 out of 100 ranking, narrowly beating the 98 overall from Houston’s Lancaster Hotel.
“We are truly honored to be recognized as the No. 1 hotel in Texas by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler,” Crescent general manager Roberto van Geenen said. “This award is a reflection of the passion and commitment our entire team brings to creating memorable experiences for every guest.”
The Crescent Hotel opened in Fort Worth’s Cultural District in November 2023.
Last year, the Star-Telegram gave readers an inside look to the luxury hotel located at 3300 Camp Bowie Blvd. The hotel is known for its art collection, which was inspired by its proximity to the Kimbell Art Museum, The Modern Art Museum, Amon Carter Museum of Art

The only other Fort Worth hotel to make Condé Nast Traveler’s ranking was the Bowie House, Auberge Resorts Collection at No. 6.
Bowie House opened in December 2023 and is also located in the Cultural District at 3700 Camp Bowie Blvd.
