Goodwill North Central Texas will open its 27th retail store in the region next year.

The Fort Worth-based nonprofit announced Wednesday that an 18,000-square-foot store is coming to Mineral Wells at 4518 Highway 180 E. The new store will be located right next to a Subway and across the highway from the Holiday Hills Golf Course.

Remodeling has already begun on the Mineral Wells store, with an expected opening date in early 2025.

Goodwill expects to create 20 jobs with the new location.

“As we embark on this exciting venture in Mineral Wells, we’re not just opening another retail store; we’re expanding our mission to empower individuals facing barriers to employment, said David Cox, president and CEO of Goodwill North Central Texas, in a press release. “Together, as a community, we can turn every donated item into a chance for a brighter future.”

While based in Fort Worth, Goodwill North Central Texas serves 18 counties in the region.

The nonprofit has 26 retail locations across the Metroplex, including five in Fort Worth. The thrift store sells used items and takes donations.
