A nearly 100,000-square-foot indoor go-kart racing and entertainment center is opening in Fort Worth this month.

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is opening its Fort Worth location on Sept. 25 at 2701 Andretti Karting Drive. The company is from and named after the Andretti racing family, who are well known across Formula One, IndyCar and NASCAR.

The 98,000-square-foot center houses a multi-level go-kart track, over 100 arcade games, two-story laser tag arena, bowling alley, restaurant, bar, virtual reality attractions and a 3D interactive movie theater.

An 8,000-square-foot event space is also on-site and available to rent out.

“Filled with culture, history and community, Fort Worth embodies the values Andretti holds dear,” said Austen Schoensee, Andretti Fort Worth’s general manager. “Following the incredible success we’ve seen within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, we look forward to building our presence and bringing even more entertainment to DFW.”

To celebrate the Fort Worth opening, Andretti is hosting sneak preview events ahead of the opening.

Interested guests can apply on the company’s website to win an invite to these events. The contest ends at midnight on Sept. 15 and winners will be notified the following day.

On Sept. 25 opening day, the first 50 Andretti guests ages 18 and up will receive a free Yeti tumbler. On the same day, the first 50 children in line will received a free Andretti swag item.

The first 100 guests on Sept. 28 will receive a free hour of arcade play for a future visit, and enter a raffle to win free play for an entire year. Additionally, one guest will win a free birthday party valued at $550 on the same day.

Race car driver John Andretti, who died in 2020, partnered with a Florida businessman on the original location in 1999, according to previous Star-Telegram reporting.

He was the nephew of Mario Andretti, the Italian-American racer who is the only man to have won the Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500 and Formula One World Championship. Today, the company has nine locations in four states.

Andretti just opened its Grand Prairie center in July and has another North Texas location in The Colony. The other two Andretti centers in Texas are located down south in Katy and San Antonio.

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games opens Sept. 25 at 2701 Andretti Karting Drive, Fort Worth.
