McDonald’s new quick bites and beverage-focused spin-off restaurant is now open in Fort Worth.

CosMc’s opened Friday at 5341 McPherson Blvd. in southwest Fort Worth and will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The location is right next door to a Panda Express and near The Shops at Chisholm Trail Ranch retail area.

The Fort Worth CosMc’s is the first in North Texas to feature an outdoor lobby and covered patio. Guests can walk up to the patio and order or go through two drive-thru lanes behind the building.

McDonald’s opened its first CosMc’s in December 2023 and launched its first Texas location in Dallas in March.

The Fort Worth locale is the company’s fourth CosMc’s in the Metroplex, with six total open in the Lone Star State. Up to 10 locations are set to open across the Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio metropolitan areas in the coming months, according to a company press release.

In North Texas, CosMc’s has locations in Fort Worth, Arlington, Watauga and Dallas.

What’s on the menus at CosMc’s?

CosMc’s serves a variety of beverages, from lemonades and teas to coffees and slushies.

A few of the restaurant’s items include the “sour cherry energy burst,” which is a cherry slush with boba, and the “island pick-me-up punch,” a berry-flavored lemonade with dried strawberries. For coffee, the “churro cold brew frappé” is a blended cold brew topped with whipped cream and cinnamon sprinkles.

Along with beverages, CosMc’s is serving a mix of old and new McDonald’s food staples.

Classic egg McMuffins with bacon and sausage are on the menu, joining Oreo and M&M McFlurry’s. For new items, customers can snack on sandwiches such as spicy queso and creamy avocado tomatillo.

There are three different filled dough items called McPops: cookie butter, apple cinnamon, and hazelnut flavors. Other items include hash brown bites, pretzel bites, ice cream and cookies.

What’s CosMc’s mean?

CosMc’s relates back to prior McDonald’s marketing.

“CosMc” was an orange alien mascot who appeared in a few ads for McDonald’s in the late 1980s, according to the McDonald’s Wiki. In the clip below, CosMc is seen interacting with two golden arches mainstays — Ronald McDonald and Grimace.

CosMc’s is encouraging Fort Worth customers to download its app and register for the “CosMc’s Club,” a new loyalty program where they can redeem:

  • A free welcome drink
  • Birthday free drink
  • Points with every purchase

CosMc’s is open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily at 5341 McPherson Blvd., Fort Worth.
