Fort Worth police and firefighters respond to drowning call with one dead at Lake Como

The Fort Worth Fire Department’s water rescue team recovered a body from Lake Como on Monday afternoon after responding to a drowning call, Fire Department officials said Monday.

According to an incident report, at least six units from the Fire Department responded to the scene about 1:30 p.m., including two dive and water rescue teams.

Once the body was recovered, Fort Worth police took control of the investigation, officials with the Fire Department said.

The person who died has not yet been identified. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
