Fort Worth police investigate dog attack that sent child to hospital; condition unknown

Fort Worth police are investigating after a dog attacked and injured a child Saturday.

At around 2:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 9000 block of Carroll Cabin Way in response to an investigation call.

Upon arrival, officers found a child who had wounds from a dog attack. The dog belonged to someone who had been visiting the child’s family, police say. Medical crews took the child to a hospital.

The child’s current condition is unknown, police said Saturday.

Crimes Against Children and Animal Cruelty detectives have been notified.
