Motorcyclist dies in accident after hitting a car in north Fort Worth, police say
A motorcycle driver who was killed in an accident Dec. 4 has been identified as 27-year-old Chas Tyler Blackmer, of Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Officers were dispatched to 6709 Sandshell Blvd., in north Fort Worth, shortly before 10:30 p.m. regarding a major accident between a motorcycle and another vehicle. The driver of the motorcycle died at the scene, according to police.
Someone who witnessed the accident told police a Mazda was leaving an apartment complex, and the car’s driver stopped before entering the road. A Kawasaki motorcycle heading northbound on Sandshell lost control and crashed into the Mazda. According to the witness, the motorcycle had been traveling at a high rate of speed, officials said.
The Mazda’s driver stayed at the scene and talked with police. The Traffic Investigations Unit will investigate the accident, officials said.
