34-year-old identified as man killed in north Fort Worth motorcycle crash, officials say

A 34-year-old man was killed in north Fort Worth on Monday night when his motorcycle collided with another one in the southbound express lanes on Interstate 35W, police said.

Officers were dispatched to a major accident in the express lanes of I-35W at Heritage Trace Parkway around 9:30 p.m. Two motorcycles had crashed into each other, according to police.

One of the drivers, identified as Carlos Hernandez by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office, died at the scene. The other driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

The southbound express lanes were shut down for a time while Traffic Detectives investigated the accident.
