Two Fort Worth families were displaced from their homes Sunday after a fire broke out on the 1000 block of East Ramsey Avenue.

Fort Worth firefighters, who were already contending with triple-digit heat, managed to contain the blaze to the two houses within 20 minutes of arriving on scene, according to a department Facebook post.

Both families were able to get assistance from the American Red Cross of Greater North Texas.

Firefighters searched both homes to make sure no one was left inside. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
