Oct. 6, 1958: Jeanne Gilliland, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. L. N. Gilliland Jr. of 3913 Westcliff Road, and Jim Murchison, son of Dr. and Mrs. S. J. R. Murchison of 3205 Stadium Road, are two of Fort Worth’s semifinalists in the Merit Scholarship program. Both are students at Paschal High School.

May 8, 1958: Members of the Paschal Hish School Band were treated to an all-day trip to Turner Falls, Okla., courtesy of Paschal Band Boosters Club, whose members chaperoned the trip. Four of those who made the trip by chartered bus are, left to right, Jean Johnston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.P Johnston of 4804 Inwood Rd.; Dean Bingham, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Bingham of 2925 Ryan Ave.; Dr. H.L. Dean of 2212 Park Place Drive, president of the Band Booster, and Odell Baily, son of Mr. and Mrs. O.W. Bailey of 2260 Sixth Ave.
