Fort Worth police look for reckless driver connected to deadly Tuesday I-20 bridge crash
Police are looking for a reckless driver who they believe may have been involved in a deadly Tuesday evening accident on westbound Interstate 20 near Hemphill Street in Fort Worth.
Anybody with information on a red four-door sedan, possibly a Dodge Charger, that was in the area between 8:25 and 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, is asked to call Fort Worth police at 817-392-4888.
Police on Tuesday said a car crashed into a bridge support on westbound I-20 near Hemphill Street after going off the roadway. One person died at the scene, and another was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
A MedStar spokesman at the time said the crash caused the occupants of the car to become trapped inside. Police were responding to a call of a hit and run in the area when they found the crash, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
