The body was found about 3 p.m. in the 6700 block of Natures Way, Dallas police said. A police department spokesperson said on Tuesday that it was 31-year-old Jocelyn Nunez.

The case is being investigated as an unexplained death, police said.

A GoFundMe campaign, started Tuesday morning by a cousin of Nunez, has raised over $12,000 for her funeral expenses.

“She had a beautiful spirit and a smile to match which she always tried to share with those she encountered regardless of the day. Jocelyn was a teacher with a big heart that loved education and caring for others,” the GoFundMe read. “She believed in family and wanted those around her to know how much that she cared. She is a beloved daughter, sister, and prima - a dear friend to many, and above all she was a passionate mother who wanted nothing but the best for her one and only little girl. This fundraiser is to honor her life in hopes to show her the same type of love and care that we all know she deserves.”

Relatives of Nunez feared that she might be lost and in danger, according to a Fort Worth police advisory that the department issued on Sunday afternoon. It was not clear on what date Nunez was reported missing.

Nunez, was a kindergarten teacher at a charter school, International Leadership of Texas, in Arlington, WFAA-TV reported.

Relatives told WFAA that Fort Worth police pinged Nunez’s truck in the area where her body was found in southwest Dallas. Nunez’s cousin told the television station that the family hikes in that area.
