Twelve apartments damaged by fire at Fort Worth complex; 2 people suffer minor injuries
Twelve apartments were damaged early Tuesday by a fire that raced through a Fort Worth complex, fire officials said.
Two residents were treated for minor smoke inhalation from the blaze.
Firefighters responded to the fire about 4 a.m. Tuesday near Interstate 20 and Hulen Street in southwest Fort Worth.
Heavy fire was showing through a roof when firefighters arrived on the scene.
About 50 firefighters extinguished the blaze in about 40 minutes.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
Members of the American Red Cross Greater North Texas area assisted displaced apartment residents.
Firefighters said there were no serious injuries because of working smoke detectors which alerted residents of the blaze.
