3 pedestrians hit, seriously injured by hit-and-run drivers in separate Fort Wort wrecks
Three pedestrians were hit and seriously injured by hit-and-run drivers Sunday in separate accidents throughout Fort Worth, according to Fort Worth police.
Fort Worth police arrested one hit-and-driver.
The pedestrians who authorities did not identify suffered serious injuries in the accidents.
The first accident was reported just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Riverside Drive and East Lancaster Avenue just a few miles from downtown Fort Worth.
A pedestrian was struck at an intersection by a driver who fled the scene, Fort Worth Worth police said.
Just before 6 p.m. Sunday, Fort Worth patrol officers in west Fort Worth responded to a major accident involving two vehicles and a pedestrian in the 6300 block of Camp Bowie Boulevard.
Fort Worth police determined that a vehicle collided with a second vehicle that then struck a pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident drove away from the scene, but that motorist was later taken into custody.
Fort Worth police did not provide any information on that suspect.
Shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday, a pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver in the 3900 block of East Lancaster Avenue.
Traffic detectives are investigating the accidents.
