Fort Worth man identified as victim in weekend fatal crash on Loop 820 service road
A Fort Worth man has been identified as the victim in a Friday night fatal crash on a Loop 820 service road, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office website on Monday.
The man who died was identified as 42-year-old Randy Portales, according to the website. He died from blunt=force trauma and his death was ruled an accident.
The crash occurred just after 11:30 p.m. Friday on a Loop 820 service road.
Portales was driving his vehicle on the highway service road when it veered off the roadway, went up an embankment, landed on it front end and flipped over, according to a preliminary Fort Worth police report.
The vehicle came to rest on its top, Fort Worth police said.
Fort Worth police did not release any information on why the driver lost control of the vehicle.
Portales was pronounced dead at the scene.
