Driver dies after being ejected when dump truck flipped on north Fort Worth freeway
A driver was killed when his dump truck flipped on a freeway and he was ejected from the cab, police said.
Edgar Franklin Pearce III, 67, of Fort Worth, was traveling in the 2400 block of Northeast Loop 820 near the Mark IV Parkway shortly before midnight Thursday night when his truck rolled over and he was ejected, according to authorities.
Pearce was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:35 a.m. on Friday, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office reported.
Police processed the scene and are investigating the accident.
