Suspects crash stolen truck into Fort Worth home minutes after carjacking vehicle
Two suspects crashed a stolen pickup truck into a home early Wednesday just minutes after carjacking the vehicle, police said.
The suspects fled the scene after the wreck.
No one was injured in the home in the 4900 block of Sandage Avenue.
Fort Worth police responded to the robbery call about 2:45 a.m. in the 4900 block of Merida Avenue.
A 42-year-old man reported two suspects approached him, hit him over the head and then took his truck.
The man suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Minutes later, the suspects crashed the vehicle into the home on Sandage Avenue.
Police reported there was extensive damage to the home.
A search continued Wednesday for the suspects. No description was released.
