A missing boy who had been seen with an unknown man was found safe Thursday afternoon, police said.
Fort Worth police said he was located at a friend’s house.
The 6-year-old boy had last been seen at his home in northwest Fort Worth at about 11 a.m.., and police announced he was found about 3:40 p.m.
More than two dozen patrol units were on the call after the boy was reported missing shortly before 1:30 p.m.
The boy disappeared in the 7100 block of Mohegan Drive.
Police reported that a parent fell asleep at their home and the 6-year-old was missing.
Police said the child had been seen on a doorbell camera with an unknown man. The camera was on a door of a neighbor.
Other people in the neighborhood said they saw numerous police cars and a helicopter helping in the search before the child was found.
A woman who delivers mail said she kept her eyes open as she made her way around the neighborhood. “Thank God he was found,” she said.
