A man was in critical condition after being hit by a train Sunday in Fort Worth, police said.
At 9:17 p.m., police responded to a major accident call involving a train in the area of East Vickery Boulevard and Industrial Avenue.
Train personnel reported the man had been lying down on the tracks when he was hit, Fort Worth Officer Tracy Carter said.
The man, whose name was not released, was able to come out from beneath the train on his own, Carter said. He went to an area hospital, where was in critical condition.
