Four people found dead in north Fort Worth home, police say

Four people were found dead in a home in north Fort Worth on Monday, police said.

Officers received a call from the 2000 block of Speckle Drive, just north of Basswood Boulevard. They found four deceased people inside the house, the Fort Worth Police Department said.

Homicide detectives and crime scene search units are on the scene and investigating.

Police believe this is an isolated incident and they don’t believe there’s any danger to the public. Officer Buddy Calzada said police are talking to the person who made the 911 call.

Police have not released the names or ages of the people who were found dead and have not confirmed whether the victims are related or if they lived in the house where they were found. They have not released a cause of death.

Officers didn’t say what time the bodies were found or what the 911 call that sent officers to the home was regarding.

A neighbor, Jo Ann Warner, who lives at the end of the street, told the Star-Telegram she believes the house was recently bought within the year. She didn’t know the people who bought it.

“I’m very shocked,” Warner said. “I got a phone call asking if we were OK ... it’s pretty upsetting. This is a very quiet neighborhood.”

The house is on Speckle Drive near Caldelana Way in a neighborhood just north of Basswood Boulevard and west of Interstate 35W.

Police had the block shut down and residents who live within the block were allowed to get to their homes. Several people, walking dogs, strolled by the scene to ask what was happening.

This is a developing story that will be updated when we have more information.
