Woman arrested in killing of man who was shot several times, Fort Worth police say

A woman accused of firing several shots at a man and killing him last week was in custody Tuesday, according to jail records.

Catrina Renee Guy faces a charge of murder in the shooting death of a 50-year-old man on Thursday morning.

Guy, 45, of Saginaw, was booked into the Fort Worth Jail on Monday afternoon, according to jail records.

Police did not release any details on a motive for the shooting, which occurred in the 7700 block of Sommerville Place Road near Lake Worth.

More than a dozen police units were sent to the Sommerville address just before 10:30 a.m Thursday, according to call records.

One man was found dead on property “filled with miscellaneous items,” according to the medical examiner’s website.

The victim was later identified as William Prygon, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website. A hometown was not listed for Prygon.

Prygon died from multiple gunshot wounds and his death was a homicide, according to a ruling by officials at the medical examiner’s office.

At the time, the suspected shooter was described as a woman with blond hair and large teeth. Police said the suspect was believed to have been a friend or possibly related to the victim.

That suspect was later identified as Catrina Guy.

Guy was in the Tarrant County Jail on Tuesday in lieu of $75,000 bail.
