A Hood County teen was in custody Thursday, accused of threatening his father with a sword during an argument, authorities said.
The 17-year-old also is accused of throwing a chair that hit the leg of a 2-year-old child and kicking a deputy as he was been arrested.
The teen has been identified as Noah Wayne Scott of Hood County. Hood County is about 35 miles southwest of Fort Worth.
Scott faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a peace officer, injury to a child and resisting arrest.
Deputies with the Hood County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic call about 9 a.m. Tuesday in the 3800 block of Pecan Valley Court.
Deputies learned that Scott had threatened his 61-year-old father with the sword. Authorities did not provide any details on what the two had been arguing about on Tuesday.
At the scene, Scott is accused of kicking a deputy in his knee during his arrest.
No serious injuries were reported.
Scott remained in the Hood County Jail in Granbury on Thursday in lieu of $37,500 bail.
