Pastors bound, beat child with extension cord in North Texas, police say

Three pastors were arrested Friday and charged with assaulting a child at a church in Mesquite, police said.

On March 20, police were told a child was bound and assaulted with an extension cord at The Church — A Place of Worship for All Nations in Mesquite, Mesquite police said in a press release.

Police were told the child had been assaulted three weeks earlier by three church pastors who were trying to get the child to confess to a suspected crime.

Deborah Ann Graham, 64, David Asa Graham — alias name of Edward Gandy, 24 — and Tonya Hill, 46, were interviewed during an investigation by police. They were charged with unlawful restraint and assault, police said.

On Friday, the Mesquite Police Department and the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force arrested Deborah Graham, David Graham, and Hill in Allen, police said in the release.

Investigators identified properties in cities in Rockwall County and Collin County that are associated with the church. Investigators were not aware of any other victims, but can be reached at 972-285-6336 if anyone has information about a child who sustained injuries at The Church in Mesquite.
