A pregnant woman lost her baby after she was seriously injured late Wednesday in a major traffic accident involving four vehicles on Interstate 20, police said.

Four people including the pregnant woman were taken to a local hospital after the crash.

The baby girl was pronounced dead at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday at John Peter Smith Hospital, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Thursday. A ruling on the infant’s death is pending an autopsy.

One person was reported in critical condition late Wednesday, police said.

Police did not release any other details on the fatal wreck.
