Sleet and snow Friday? Here’s when you could see some of the white stuff close to DFW

The coldest weather of the season arrived Friday morning with temperatures reaching 23 degrees at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport and some parts of North Texas.
South of DFW, some parts of Texas were having to worry about wintry weather to go with the cold.
.A winter weather advisory was in effect until 3 a.m. that included Cleburn, Waxahachie, Hillsboro and Waco.
“The further south you go, the more likely you are to see it,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Dan Huckaby.
In the DFW area, there’s a slight chance of a wintry mix with the possibility of a snow flurry or sleet pellet late Friday or early Saturday.
No travel impacts are expected as the temperature will remain near freezing.
Parts of Central Texas as well as the Hill Country have been dealing with wintry weather Friday.
Some ice had been reported on bridges in Williamson County.
Some travel impacts can’t be ruled out overnight along bridges and overpasses but no major issues are expected.
But this weekend will be cold and wet with rain returning late Saturday afternoon and sticking around through late Monday or early Tuesday. High temperatures will be in the 40s Saturday and Sunday before climbing to near 60 on Monday.
