Police investigating threatening message made to McLean Middle School, officials say

Police cars were outside Fort Worth’s McLean Middle School before school started on Wednesday morning.

A voicemail was sent to parents of students at the school stating that police were investigating a threatening message that had been left on social media.

The voicemail stated that all doors to the school were locked and classes would continue as normal.

“We are doing everything we can,” the message stated.

According to Fort Worth police, the person who made the threat claimed they were “a professional shooter” who would be going to the school.

“Officers acted quickly and are investigating the incident,” Officer Jimmy Pollozani said.

Just before 10:45 a.m., parents received an email from the school district that said: “The situation has been stabilized. Fort Worth police and Fort worth ISD are working together to insure the safety of all students. We are remaining in lockout to help students feel safe. Thank you so much for your support.”
