Woman killed on Fort Worth street after being struck by hit-and-run driver, police say

Police continued their search Sunday for a hit-and-run driver accused of killing a pedestrian on a city street.

The fatal wreck occurred shortly before 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 3200 block of E. Seminary Drive.

The victim was identified as Samantha Wallace, 34, of Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website on Sunday. A ruling on her death is pending an autopsy.

Patrol officers responded to an investigation call early Saturday on E. Seminary Drive. A crash was heard in the neighborhood, but there were no witnesses, police said.

Police discovered the body of a woman later identified as Wallace on a roadway.

Investigators determined Wallace had been hit by a vehicle that fled the scene.
