Man struck by hit-and-run driver, then several other vehicles hit victim, police say
A man died Wednesday morning from injuries he suffered when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in northeast Fort Worth, police said.
The victim also was hit by several other vehicles after being struck by the hit-and-run motorist, police said.
Shellie Carroll, 57, was identified as the victim by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner on Thursday.
Police continued their search Wednesday for the hit-and-run driver.
The incident was reported shortly before 7 a.m. in the 2500 block of North Sylvania Avenue.
Carroll was found lying in the street and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police did not provide any other details.
