1 killed after racing car hits victim’s vehicle at Fort Worth intersection
A 22-year-old man from Fort Worth was killed Sunday morning when the his vehicle was hit by a car racing on a street, authorities said.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office identified him as Keenan Hilsabeck.
Police believe a person from the racing vehicles fled the scene.
Officers responded to the major accident call shortly before 4 a.m. at Columbus Trail and McCart Avenue.
Two vehicles were racing in the southbound lanes of Columbus Trail when Hilsabeck turned onto Columbus from McCart Avenue, police said.
Seconds later, one of the racing vehicles struck the Hilsabeck’s vehicle, police said. Hilsabeck was killed in the wreck, according to a MedStar official.
Two other people suffered serious injures in the crash, authorities said.
No arrests had been made, according to a preliminary police report, but an investigation continued.
