6-year-old boy drowns in apartment complex swimming pool in Fort Worth
A 6-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool at an apartment complex in west Fort Worth on Sunday afternoon, Fort Worth police said.
Emergency personnel responded at about 2 p.m. at The Park at Bellevue apartments, 9016 Brian Way Circle.
The boy, identified as Kash Kinney by the Tarrant County medical examiner, was transported to a local hospital and was initially listed in critical condition but later was pronounced dead, Fort Worth police spokesman Bradley Perez said in an email.
The boy lived in the apartment complex, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's report.
"There's no reason at this time to believe it was anything else but an unfortunate accident," Perez said. "But I’m certain a thorough investigation will occur."
