A 71-year-old woman died early Sunday from injuries she suffered when a hit-and-run driver collided with a scooter she was riding, authorities said.
Police did not release any details Sunday on the hit-and-run vehicle.
The woman was identified as Patricia Winburn of Fort Worth. She was pronounced dead at 12:42 a.m. Sunday at John Peter Smith Hospital, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's website on Sunday. A ruling on her death is pending an autopsy.
The fatal accident occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. Saturday at E. Maddox Ave and Belzise Terrace, police said.
Winburn was riding on a motorized scooter when she was hit by a vehicle, according to a preliminary police report.
