Police are investigating the death of a man who was found Saturday morning at a motel with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Police documents show dispatchers received the shooting call shortly before 7:50 a.m.

When officers arrived at the Motel 6, located in the 900 block of East Northside Drive, they found the wounded man in a room, police said. The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival, police said.

According to Tarrant County medical examiner's records, the victim was 37-year-old Corey Brown, who is recorded as having died at the address of the Motel 6 on Saturday.
