Man arrested in Fort Worth, charged with child sexual assault
A man who police say kidnapped a child and sexually assaulted her was arrested late Sunday. During a search for the kidnapper, a second man was arrested on an unrelated indecency with a child charge.
The call came in to Fort Worth police at 7 p.m. stating that a child had been abducted by an unknown male, said Tamara Valle, police spokeswoman.
Police located and arrested the suspect, Crispin Suarez-Garcia, 37, who is being held in the Mansfield Jail on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Bail is set at $150,000. He also has an immigration and customs hold and is being held without bail on that charge.
During a search for the child, witnesses gave police information that lead them to Suarez-Garcia’s home. While there, officers spoke with a man who led police to the location of Suarez-Garcia and the child. Police learned the man at the home, Manuel Garcia Verduzco, was wanted in connection of an unrelated indecency-fondling charge.
Verduzco, 39, was arrested and is being held in Mansfield Jail on charges of indecency with a child-sexual conduct with bail set at $150,000, and an immigration and customs hold with no bail.
