Fort Worth ISD is hosting a public meeting Wednesday to discuss the future of Farrington Field, the 18,000-seat sports stadium that’s been a part of the district for decades.

The Fort Worth school district is hosting a public input meeting on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the Fort Worth ISD Board Room.

Farrington Field needs at least $20 million in upgrades, including new turf, HVAC repairs, and renovated locker rooms, the Star-Telegram previously reported. In 2021, the stadium and the neighboring Billingsley Field House were listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The future of the field is in the hands of the new state-appointed Board of Managers.
