Roaches, rat droppings found in latest Dallas health inspections
One Dallas restaurant failed inspection, and rat droppings and roaches were found at others, according to a report from the city’s latest round of health inspections.
The report contains data from March 30 through April 5 and 155 inspections.
Dallas’ restaurant inspections function on a 100-point scale: A score of 100 is considered perfect and a score under 60 is considered unacceptable, requiring immediate closure and inspection before reopening.
No restaurant was rated unacceptable in this round of inspections.
Cost Plus, 4438 Maple Ave., had a score of 60. The location will be re-inspected in 10 days, according to the report.
Roaches were observed at these locations:
- Familia Food Market, 4523 Maple Ave., had a score of 89
- Louisiana Fried Chicken, l17610 Midway Road, had a score of 89
- Felix G Botello Personalized Learning Elementary, 225 S. Marsalis Ave., had a score of 93
Rodent droppings, roaches and flies were observed at Familia Food Market, 4523 Maple Ave. The location had an overall score of 89.
Six restaurants scored between 70 and 79 and will require re-inspection within 30 days.
