Dallas rapper Yella Beezy arrested, charged with capital murder in 2020 shooting of Mo3
A Dallas rapper has been arrested and charged with capital murder in the 2020 freeway shooting death of a rival rapper, according to arrest records.
Markies Conway, known by his stage name Yella Beezy, is alleged to have paid for the killing of rapper Melvin Noble, known as Mo3, according to the indictment.
The suspected shooter, identified in the indictment as Kewon White, was sentenced in 2022 to 105 months in federal prison on a gun crime, the Star-Telegram reported at the time.
Witnesses told police that Noble was in a vehicle on R.L. Thornton Freeway (Interstate 35E) when a man got out of another car with a rifle and shot Noble multiple times before driving away, the Star-Telegram reported.
No bond has been set for Conway, 33, who was arrested on Thursday and booked into the Dallas County Jail.
Mo3’s mother, Nichole Williams Noble, reacted to the arrest on Thursday by posting, “JUSTICE FOR MY BABY!!!” on social media.
