Suspect arrested after 1 young man killed, another wounded in Dallas shooting, police say

Dallas police arrested a 22-year-old suspect who is accused in a shooting that killed one man and injured another on Sunday.

Officers responded to the 10000 block of Steppington Drive, in north Dallas, shortly before 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police said that when officers arrived, they found the two shooting victims. A 22-year-old man died at the scene, and another 22-year-old male victim was taken to a local hospital. The victims’ names have not been released.

Detectives identified Taven McGee, also 22, as the shooter, police said in a news release.

McGee was found nearby and arrested, according to the release.
