A 27-year-old Dallas man is accused of fatally shooting a man at his apartment early Sunday, then crashing into a vehicle, carjacking a motorist at gunpoint and crashing that vehicle, and then climbing into an 18-wheeler before nearby security guards stopped him, according to news reports and Dallas police.

Ryan Glover was in the Dallas County Jail on Thursday in lieu of $1.3 million bond on a murder charge. He faces other charges as well.

One person reported getting a call from Glover and said he sounded like he was under the influence, according to KDFW Channel 4. The television station obtained an affidavit in the case.

The body of 26-year-old Jacquan Hudson was found shortly before 5:30 a.m. Sunday was found on an apartment couch in the 1400 block of Winding Brooke Circle in Dallas. He died from multiple gunshot wounds, Dallas police said.

The arrest affidavit noted that Hudson had been staying at Glover’s apartment for a few days.

KDFW reported that a neighbor heard three gunshots around 1:14 a.m. Sunday near Glover’s apartment but did not call 911.

Sometime after that, Glover left his apartment.

Investigators say Glover crashed his car into another car. There, a driver told police that Glover “walked in front of his F-150, produced a firearm from his boxer briefs and pointed it at him,” the affidavit stated.

Glover assaulted the man and took off with his truck before crashing the pickup and approaching a semi-truck.

Investigators say Glover “climbed into the semi-truck and sat in the passenger seat saying, ‘Help me,” according to the affidavit.

Glover started hitting the driver, and that’s when security guards from a nearby business got involved and used pepper spray and tasers on Glover

Deputies with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office arrested Glover about 2 a.m. Sunday at Interstate 35E and Royal Lane.

When questioned about Hudson’s body in his apartment, Glover told detectives he came home from work for his lunch break Saturday night from 8 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Glover claimed Hudson was “in his apartment, and everything was fine,” according to the affidavit.

Glover told police after he got off work Sunday morning and was driving to his girlfriend’s house, “his head began to spin, and he does not remember what happened afterwards.”

Glover has no criminal history, according to KDFW.

Two guns and a bag of marijuana were found inside the apartment.
