5 injured in Dallas shooting, including 15-year-old in critical condition, police say

Five people were injured in a shooting in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas late Friday, including a 15-year-old boy who was in critical condition, police said.

A police spokesperson was unable to say on Saturday morning how the shooting unfolded, whether there was more than one shooter and what the motive was of the person or people responsible. No suspects have been identified.

Dallas officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2600 block of Elm Street around 11:10 p.m. Friday, police said. They found two men and a woman, as well as the 15-year-old, with gunshot wounds.

Dallas Fire Rescue transported the victims to a hospital, police said.

Officers at the hospital then discovered that another man who had been shot in the incident had been taken to the facility, police said.

The spokesperson said in an email police would provide an update when “additional information becomes available.”
