2 men shot on South Stemmons Freeway in Dallas, police say
Two men were shot on the South Stemmons Freeway in Dallas on Thursday morning, leading to a large law enforcement presence on the highway, according to police and social media posts.
The men were taken by Dallas Fire Rescue to a hospital after they were shot, a police spokesperson said in an email. Their conditions were unknown.
Police didn’t disclose any details of the Thursday morning incident other than that two men were shot on South Stemmons Freeway at Houston Street.
Images tweeted by Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV show several Dallas police cars parked on the freeway surrounding a white SUV.
Traffic camera photos from the news station also show there was a lane closure on Thursday morning as police investigated the incident.
