A drive-through COVID-19 testing program begins Monday for patients of Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas.

Officials at Parkland will offer the tests by appointment for Parkland patients who meet the medically necessary criteria with a Parkland physician’s order.

Parkland patients can contact the COVID-19 Patient Line at 214-590-8060.

Parkland officials hope to expand the service in the future.

Unscheduled, drop-in appointments for the general public will not be available at this time, according to hospital officials.

Officials also are asking patients not to come to the hospital’s emergency room or urgent care emergency center for a testing appointment.

For further information about COVID-19, please contact Dallas County Health and Human Services or Texas Department of Health and Human Services website, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Parkland Hospital.
