2nd man arrested in Burleson robbery, shooting of detectives

A 22-year-old Fort Worth man who police said was involved in a bank robbery in which two detectives were shot last week was arrested shortly before midnight on Christmas Eve, a Burleson city spokeswoman said.

Lamarcus Antwon Jones Jr. faces a charge of aggravated robbery in the Dec. 19 robbery of a Wells Fargo bank.

Police said Jones was the driver of a vehicle involved in the robbery, which occurred in the 400 block of East Renfro Street.

Jones was arrested at his workplace in the 8700 block of the West Freeway in Fort Worth.

The arrest was a joint operation among Burleson Police Department investigators, the STOP Special Crimes Unit and the Fort Worth Zero Tolerance Unit.

His bail was set at $500,000.

Andre Jackson Jr., 19, of Grand Prairie was taken into custody shortly after detectives David Feucht and Nick Grace were shot outside the bank. Both were treated and released from John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

Jackson faces two felony charges of aggravated assault on a peace officer with a deadly weapon and one felony charge of aggravated robbery. His bail was set at $1.5 million.

The veteran detectives were shot after confronting Jackson near a 7-11 on Renfro Street, police said. He was taken into custody inside the store, and a semi-automatic handgun and an undisclosed amount of money were recovered, police said.
