FBI agents raid Fort Worth strip club in ‘court authorized’ operation: feds
FBI agents conducted a raid at a Fort Worth strip club Friday night, officials said.
Photos posted on social media show a large law enforcement presence at Flash Dancer Cabaret, located at 9317 South Freeway. An FBI spokesperson said via email that agents were “performing court authorized activity” at the location.
“We are not providing further information at this time,” the email states.
The Fort Worth Police Department confirmed that they assisted the FBI with the operation.
It’s not clear how many people were arrested or on what charges. More details about the incident weren’t immediately available.
A co-owner of the club, Ryan Walker Grant, was sentenced in 2013 to 10 years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to one count of murder-for-hire.
The club’s Arlington location was shut down through a nuisance lawsuit filed by the Texas Attorney General’s Office and the City of Arlington, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas said in a 2013 news release. In April 2012, Grant tried to hire someone from Mexico to kill Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck and Tom Brandt, an attorney who had represented the city in lawsuits involving sexually-oriented businesses, federal prosecutors said at the time.
Grant was released from federal custody in 2020, according to online Bureau of Prisons records.
