Cary died of combined fentanyl and Xanax toxicity on the morning of Oct. 25. 2024, according to online medical examiner’s records.

“Scott was one of the most intelligent people you could have ever met and one of the most beautiful hearts that would welcome every type of human into whatever conversational subject he wanted to discuss,” his obituary reads.

Cary earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Texas Christian University and had a “Masters in whatever subject he happened to be reading at the time,” according to his obituary.

Affidavits supporting the Johnsons’ arrests were not immediately available Friday evening.
