A helicopter pilot was injured when their aircraft went down near Springtown in Parker County on Friday afternoon, according to Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV.

The helicopter landed at a private airstrip near the 200 block of McVoid Road and was repositioning to refuel when one of its blades hit a tree, officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety told WFAA.

The pilot suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

DPS officials did not immediately respond to a request for more details.
