The 52-year-old man arrested June 10 on a child sex abuse charge has been identified as a testing facilitator with Arlington ISD.

District officials said in a statement that they placed Rodney Reyna on leave as soon as they learned about the allegations against him.

“The safety of our students remains our highest priority,” the statement reads. “It is important to note the alleged conduct did not involve a current Arlington ISD student.”

Reyna remains in the Tarrant County Jail on a $500,000 bond. He faces one count of indecency with a child sexual contact, according to court records. Arlington police have said the alleged abuse occurred around 12 or 13 years ago.

According to police, a young woman came forward on April 23 to accuse Reyna of “inappropriate sexual conduct” when she was a minor.

Arlington ISD officials said they are cooperating with the ongoing criminal investigation.
