Medical examiner identifies 40-year-old man as victim in Fort Worth condo homicide

A 40-year-old man has been identified as the victim who was shot and killed in a homicide Sunday, June 14, at a west Fort Worth condo, according to Tarrant County records.

Archie Denver Anderson died of a gunshot wound to the back, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s website.

Officers responded to the shooting about 10:30 a.m. at a condo in the 4000 block of Ridglea Country Club Drive, police said in a news release.

Fort Worth police officers and firefighters arrived on scene and began providing medical aid to Anderson, who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The suspected shooter fled the scene before officers arrived, according to police. No arrests have been announced.

Police said homicide detectives are investigating what led to the shooting.
