Texas educator accused of offering to buy teen alcohol, lingerie in exchange for sex
A Wylie East High School assistant principal has been arrested after he was accused of offering to purchase alcohol for a minor and buy the teen lingerie in exchange for sexual conduct, according to the Wylie Police Department.
Zachary Neu, 32, of Richardson, was arrested on Thursday, June 4, and faces charges of compelling prostitution under age 18 and improper relationship between educator and student, police said in a news release.
The arrest was a result of an investigation that took place after a report was filed that Neu was “communicating inappropriately” with a recent 2026 Wylie East graduate.
When investigators searched Neu’s personal devices, a second victim was identified and the second charge was added, police said.
Authorities say at this time there are no additional victims and Neu remains in jail.
Neu is no longer employed by the school district, Wylie ISD said in a letter to parents. District officials said they notified Texas Child Protective Services and the State Board for Educator Certification as soon as they became aware of the allegations.
“Educators hold positions of authority and are entrusted with tremendous responsibility,” the letter from Wylie East High School states. “As adults, they are expected to exercise sound judgment and understand that they are responsible for maintaining appropriate boundaries and relationships with students at all times.”
