A 32-year-old man was shot and injured at a north Fort Worth car wash Tuesday night during an attempted carjacking, police said.

Officers were dispatched to White Water Express Car Wash at 8301 N. Beach St. about 8:40 p.m. after a 911 caller said he’d been shot. The suspect ran from the scene, according to the call sheet.

The injured man said he’d been approached by someone who demanded his vehicle, according to police. When he refused, the suspect shot him in the leg.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive, police said. No arrests have been announced.

The Robbery Unit is investigating the shooting.
