Police investigate east Fort Worth shooting that injured one man

Police are investigating an east Fort Worth shooting that injured a man Sunday night.

Nearly 15 units were dispatched to the 4100 block of East Lancaster Avenue, near Sargent Street, starting about 9:25 p.m. after someone reported his brother had been shot, according to the 911 call sheet.

Officers found the man who’d been injured. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and is expected to survive, police said. No arrests have been announced.

Detectives from the Gun Violence Unit are investigating the shooting.
